The weekend of 6-8 September 2013 saw the first-ever WFTDA Division 1 Playoff.

Denver Roller Dolls’ Mile High Club, Montreal Roller Derby’s New Skids on the Block, London Rollergirl’s London Brawling, Rose City’s Wheels of Justice, Wasatch’s Midnight Terror, Bleeding Heartland’s Flatliners, Cincinnati’s Black Sheep joined Arch Rival, Ohio and Grand Raggidy’s All-Stars to fight for three places at Championships in Milwaukee.

Denver, Ohio and London took home the medals-but all the teams fought hard and had their own moments of brilliance as we think these photos from Bob Dunnell, Dave Wood and John Wijsman show.
