Derbylife 2013 Photo of the Year Winner & Gallery

Congratulations to the 2013 Derbylife Photo of the Year winner, Ryan Starr, for his/her shot of Egon (and, of course, Egon’s Hair)! Thank you to everyone who submitted images to the contest.

Ryan Starr’s winning photo: The Derbylife Ultimate Photo of the year 2013.

You can see all of the nominees with the titles and descriptions as supplied by the photographers in the gallery above — and remember, you can look at the EXIF and IPTC data to find out more about how the photos came to be.

Congratulations again to all our fantastic nominees and thank you to all those who entered.

Two final notes: a couple of photos don’t have attribution. This is because there were no names attached to them via the entry form in our database, and there was no identifying metadata in the files in question. If you know who took any of the unidentified shots then PLEASE get in touch so we can update the gallery just as soon as we can. Also worth saying as I don’t think we’ve said this before: all photos were nominated (as well as voted on) blind — the nomination committee did not look to see who took *any* of the submitted photographs during the nomination process.
