After some technical difficulties that were exacerbated by the holidays, we are finally ready to reveal all the finalists for the 2013 Photo of the Year contest.

You can see all the finalists and cast your votes in the five categories here:

Thank you to the hundreds of you who entered well over 1,000 photographs for our consideration. Narrowing down the categories was an exceptionally tough task thanks to the high quality of the entrants… you certainly made our panel work hard.

Once these five categories are done, the winners will face off for our ultimate accolade: being named the Derbylife Photo of the Year.

Thank you again to all the photographers who entered shots for the contest, and to all of you for your patience while we sorted out our technical issues.

      We will be posting a full gallery with details of all the photographers once the voting ends. For now, it is intended as a blind contest.

      Thanks for the support, Shimmy! I like that it’s blind - no promotion of who shot what photo. It helps prevent bias and keeps it clean!

    my vote are not going thru…its very frustrating..it tell me I voted when I know I didn’t..and its not adding my vote to the total..pleas help

      Do you share your computer / internet connection? It all seems to be in order from a technical point of view, and I can’t reproduce any errors resulting in an inability to vote.

    is voting still open? the site says so, but when i click on the links to view categories, no images appear and a message comes up saying no contestants to display. ???
