Thank you for making this photo contest a success. There are so many talented photographers out there capturing stunning moments of triumph, struggle, and all-around fantastic derby, and we’re so lucky to have them. The ultimate goal of our contest is to shine a spotlight on all the incredible photographers who spend their time, money, sweat, and talent shining a light on us.
We’re thrilled to present the finalists from each of our five categories, out of the more than 1200 photos that were entered. Over the next five days, we’ll be asking you to vote for the overall 2013 photo contest winner. In addition to receiving an awesome piece of derby swag, the winning photographer will win an advertising package on Derbylife worth hundreds of dollars.
Next week, after the voting is over, we’ll publish galleries to showcase the finalist photographs, but this time with the names attached. If you recognize any of the names, give the photographers a round of applause. Just making it to the category finalist stage is an incredible accomplishment.
