Comic: Monica Gallagher

Comic Relief: Bonnie N. Collide

Monica Gallagher, a comic artist, used to be a skater for Charm City Roller Girls, where she went by the name Whipstick. These days, she spends more time with a pen in her hand than with wheels on her feet, but she still gets her derby fix with her comic, Bonnie N. Collide, Nine to Five, which features the eponymous skater who approaches her real life the way she approaches derby. She even wears her skates at the office, something I’ve long wished I could do.

After creating over 300 Bonnie N. Collide strips, Gallagher is publishing a book of her work. Several of her strips are below, or you can check out the rest at her website.

What would you do if you brought your derby persona to work?
