Top Ten Ways to Deal with Not Going to Rollercon This Year

10. Go to a fallout bunker to avoid posts of those who are. Hope bunker has no wi-fi.

9. Just pretend it is all about a roller coaster convention...if you love roller coasters, see #10.

8. Just imagine everyone is going to Las Vegas after what happened in Stephen King's "The Stand." Think about planning a trip to Boulder instead.

7. Go to derby practice, get black and blue, and pretend everywhere you go is a ball.

6. Pretend its all a diabolical plot to have skaters skip a week of workouts while you continue to tear it up for your next bout.

Top Ten Reasons Why the WFTDA Rankings Have Not Been Released Yet

10. Lets just say the East Coast Derby Extravaganza's pool has a new computer.

9. They mistakenly brought it outside this week, and the paper melted.

8. WFTDA's bag and a certain Scottish team's looked a heck of a lot alike at the airport... and WFTDA went home with nothing but Auld Reekie Roller Girls tees and hats. (And who is going to complain about that?!?)

7. Debuting at the #1 slot? The Atlantis Rollers... so they're guessing they got hacked and will have to look things over again.

World Cup 2011 Retrospective: Talking with Raw Heidi, Team England

The site of the 2014 Roller Derby World Cup has been named: Dallas, Texas, USA. It is over the next few weeks and months that skaters, coaches, and referees will begin thinking (and trying out) to be a part of this incredible tournament.

To help give everyone a better idea of what this international event is like, we asked World Cup 2011 coaches and skaters to recount their experiences of the inaugural World Cup and extend some advice to those thinking about participating in next year's effort.

Top Ten Men's Team USA Roller Derby Requirements

10. "27 in 5." Dunk 27 donuts in 5 beers. Eat, drink ...then do your 27 laps in 5 minutes.

9. Break through a wall. (Must at least be made of wood or brick. Straw walls will not count.)

8. Watch "Field of Dreams." Anyone who doesn't get misty when Kevin Costner asks his father to play catch is obviously not American and must immediately be removed from the rest of tryouts.

7. Must be able to jam, block, pivot, pitch, play middle linebacker, or goalie ...just in case.

6. To prove mental acuity, must win at Connect 4 in three moves or less.

The Top 10 Reasons Why the Hollywood Scarlets LOVE Derby Photographers!

Today's top ten list is a video top ten list! The Hollywood Scarlets, rather than just asking for donations for their travel fund are offering to do "cheap tricks". For $20 they will video anything silly (with good taste). So I wrote up a top ten list for them to do: "The Top 10 Reasons Why the Hollywood Scarlets LOVE Derby Photographers!!"
