Meet Team Scotland: Fight Cub

Name: Fight Cub

League Affiliation: Granite City Roller Girls

Years Skating: 2.5 yrs

DL: What was your previous athletic background, if any?

FC: Athletics in school and that's about it!

DL: Why did you want to be on Team Scotland?

FC: To represent Scotland and be part of one of the biggest derby events to date!

DL: How did you feel when you found out you had made it as one of the final 20?

FC: A mixture of pride and fear. The best kind of feelings...

DL: Which skater inspires you most, and why?

FC: Just a few of the local girls... Minnie Riot (ARRG) is an incredible skater, Clinically Wasted (GCRG) has an attitude that I wish I had and Lilo and Stitches (ARRG) is a name to look out for in the next year. Also, Pistol Panties of Fair City Rollers in Perth was the original derby girl who inspired me to start skating. Massive props to her.

DL: Do you have any advice for skaters just starting out?

FC: Keep pushing and practice the stuff that you hate. You'll be fine!
