Celebrate 40 Years of Title IX with ESPN!
Today, ESPNW is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Title IX with an incredible photo mosaic made up of women doing sports. Scrolling through thousands of photos of female athletes in all different sports is a totally inspiring experience. And I noticed quite a few derby players in and among all the track and field, gymnastics, hockey, basketball, soccer players, and all sorts of other athletes.
What has Title IX meant to you? To me, it has meant never questioning my right or ability to play and compete in sports. What a valuable gift!
Note: Numerous photographers have let me know that there is a big problem with the terms of submitting photographs to this mosaic. Please do not submit photographs to which you do not own the copyright--according to the terms of use, this gives ESPNW the rights to reuse the photographs in whatever format they want. Terms below:

Terrible Terms of Use
Please do not submit any photos unless you shot them yourself. ESPN's terms of use are terrible -- by submitting a photo, you agree to transfer the copyright to them, in return for nothing. Even if you're in the photo, the copyright is not yours to transfer unless you're also the photographer.

Please do NOT submit photos to this!
As Joe also noted. The terms of service for this allows ESPN to basically steal copyright of any photos submitted. So, unless you took the photo, please do not submit the hard work of other derby photographers to this without first asking their permission!
really really terrible terms of use.
