Hi all, yes that is my dog, Winston. Apparently, he was quite miffed by my election to go to derby practice one night. So, not unlike a ninja, he patiently waited until I went to work the next day, pulled my skate out of my bag and ate the entire back end of the boot.( I should mention that the bag has been left in the same place for the last 2 months and he never touched it). I was quite upset when I got home and found his handy work. After I finished yelling at him, he looked and me and pretty much said, "So when is dinner?"

I would have a hard time getting over it if my dog ate my roller skates.

Which is -- find an out of the way corner of the house and drop 'em. But my dog is ancient and, even on his perkiest day, could only gum on them a bit since he has two remaining teeth. The more likely scenario is that he would fall asleep on them.

I found out that my former roommate's cat peed in my skates the moment I went to put them on for a bout. We won the bout, but my feet killed the after party. I can't upload the picture Hale Yeah took of me pouting as I went to put my cat pee skates on that day, but I do have a link to the instructional video I made about how to douche your skates in case your roommate's cats ever pee in YOUR skates. New skates came almost immediately after because even with a thorough douching, cat pee trumps all.
